Abstracts
The deadline for the authors to present abstract is February 27th 2009, maximum length 500 words, together with the registration form. The abstract should be sent to the Local Organizing Committee, preferably by e-mail, or by regular post, in digital format on CD or DVD.
The abstract should be written in Times or Arial type (11 pts.), indicating title, author/s and institutions in bold characters. The text of the abstract should clearly explain the object/s of the work and the main reached conclusions.
The abstracts evaluated and approved will be included in the Abstracts Book that will be available during the meeting. The abstracts have to be written in Spanish and English or Portuguese.
It should be said whether the presentation will be a poster or an oral communication.
Complete Works
The authors can send their complete papers or "short communication" to be included in the Acts of the Meeting (CD). They should be sent to the Local Organizing Comission by e-mail until April 17th, 2009. For coordination reasons this deadline will not be extended.
All presented contributions will be submitted to review by two referees. The authors will receive the communication of acceptation, rejection or modification of their works with enough anticipation to the date of the Meeting.
Works should be presented as follows:
- Length limited to 5 pages and · Mb in .RTF format.
- Page design: A4 size with 2 cm margins.
- Font type: Times New Roman (12pts.), in bold, capital letters and centered title. Authors and institution in Times New Roman (11 pts), bold and centered. The body of the text written in Times New Roman (11 pts.) , full justified and simple spacing, double spacing only before a title or subtitle..
- Language: the text can be written in any of the official Meeting languages (Spanish, Portuguese or English). In every case the abstract should be in Spanish and English or Portuguese.
- Titles and subtitles: in addition to the abstract, the manuscript should have an introduction, development, discussion or conclusions and references.
- References: they should follow the rules given for publications in the GEOACTA Journal of the Asociación Argentina de Geofísicos y Geodestas.
- Figures, images and tables: have to be included in the manuscript with the respective captions. Colored figures and images will be admitted in the cd, but they will be printed in black and white.
Works will be of the following categories:
- Scientific
- Transference
- Technological development and innovation
- Scientific and technologic communication
- Advances of scientific projects
Each author should establish the category, but the Evaluating Scientific Committee will take the final decision for accepting and categorizing of the manuscript.
Poster
There will a space for the oral presentation as well as for a poster. Posters must have the standard measurement of 0.90 x 1.20, precising the quantity of posters to be exposed.
Complete Papers
They can be published in "Geoacta" should the authors wish it, complying with the requirements of said publication. For this, go to: www.aagg.org.ar
