General Information
The 24th Scientific Reunion of the Argentine Association of Geophysics and Geodesy and the First Workshop of Continuous GNSS Stations from America and the Caribbean will be held between April 14th and 17th of 2009 in the city of Mendoza, province of Mendoza, Argentina.
Researchers and technicians are invited to present at the Scientific Reunion their work, technological innovations and communications in the fields of: Applied Geophysics, Geodesy, Terrestrial Solar Physics, Geomagnetism, Hydrology, Meteorology, Oceanography, Seismology, Gravimetry, Vulcanology, Climatology, Cartography and Teledetection.
The Workshop is oriented toward the participation of scientific institutions, universities, public institutions and enterprises from America and the Caribbean, all of which are responsible for the functioning of the GNSS Continuous Stations. The aim is to generate contributions, to share experiences and to develop strategies at continental level that allow optimizing the services and create inter-institutional links, strengthening the human resources and the scientific capability of the work groups.
The Congress and Workshop coincide with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Asociación Argentina de Geofísicos y Geodestas (Argentine Association of Geophysics and Geodesy), for which we will invite acknowledged national and international experts in the different subjects related to the involved disciplines.
